These are my personal, guaranteed best places to eat in the Sarasota area: great food, good prices, congenial service, nice decor.

I have been eating in many of them for 30 years, as have many knowledgeable Sarasota natives who cherish the real thing.

Here are my criteria:

 


1. Inexpensive: $7-9 for lunch, $12-14 dinner

2. Great food and warm, friendly service
